Consumer Engagement and Transition (CET) Program

It’s not unusual for a detoxification center to have a revolving door, and for consumers seeking treatment to walk in, walk out, and walk back in again – more than once. So when the State of Delaware was looking for solution, NET had an answer: The Consumer Engagement and Transition (CET) Program, which operates out of Kirkwood Detoxification Center.

CET facilitates early treatment engagement for consumers who have multiple detoxification admissions, defined as three or more within a 12-month period. The 6o-day program, which operates daily from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., is designed to give its consumers a place to go each day. Here, they are held accountable for attendance and for remaining clean and sober while they await transition to a treatment program. CET offers a daily regimen of extensive case management services, psychosocial support, counseling, and motivational enhancement.

The CET program is a performance-based contract publicly funded by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) and is evaluated by the Treatment Research Institute (TRI)
